OUR REVIEW
Finally, someone has realized that music buffs are not just content listening to songs while lounging on the drawing room couch. They like to carry their music around too. That's why Squircle has come up with the SD Card MP3 Player. God bless Squircle!
This compact and handy player fits in just about anywhere. Unlike most other gadgets of this category, it is very easy to operate so that you do not need to sift through pages of instructions and still wonder, "How do I switch on the darned thing?"
The inbuilt Secure Digital/MMC memory expansion port means that the device has a voracious appetite. You can install any memory card of any capacity onto it and store any number of songs. Eyeballs popping out of sockets? Ours did too.
You may quibble about the lack of a hard drive, but on the flip side of it, its very absence makes the device stout and doesn't eat into the battery life.
We found that the device could also be used to transfer data across platforms and that too, without any hassle for it doesn't need any drivers.
But, the music for your ears: all these at less than USD19.
Pros -Limitless storage -Portable, easy-to-use -Affordable -Can be used for data transfer across devices
Cons -No LCD -Needs external memory card
Rating We rated Sumvision SQUIRCLE with 8 out
of 10 based on its features,
design, usability and value for money.
FEATURES Is it a square is it a circle? No - it?s a Squircle! Spiralling onto the MP3 market in a flurry of excitement the Squircle is a fun funky music making machine. The player?s rubberised shell and soft touch buttons make it practically indestructible and since the Squircle doesn?t have an LCD screen it?s amazingly easy to use. What?s even better is that this little bundle of joy features a built in Secure Digital/MMC memory expansion slot so if you?ve got any memory cards lying around from your digital camera or PDA chances are the Squircle will gobble them up! The Squircle?s internal memory-less so you?ll need to either buy or use an SD or MMC memory card you have lying around with the player.
