| Shirts come in long, half and short lengths. Shirts usually consist collars. But from the mid-19th to the 20th century, there were shirts with detachable collars. In the 19th century, 'waist' was used to describe what we now recognize as a shirt. The word 'blouse' was also used. Repton is an English public school. Although the Repton-styled shirts have long become obsolete, they are still regularly used in New Zealand schools. |
